Job Title: Cognos Developer
Location: Washington DC
Duration: 6+ Months
Experience:-
1. 7+ years' experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos BI 10.
2. Experience in working with design and build LDM,PDM based on the reporting requirements
3. 3+ years of experience in working with IBM Datastage with sound development experience
4. Sound Experience in Develop and maintain Frame work models, transformer cubes.
5. Successfully implementing enterprise BI solutions/platform/architecture using Cognos BI
6. Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)
7. High proficiency writing SQL
8. Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required.
9. Strong database understanding and familiarity with complex data and structures.
10. Required strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:-
1. Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirement.
2. Design, implement, and support a platform providing ad-hoc access to datasets
3. Use data mining, model building, other analytical techniques to develop models to drive the business
4. Translate business requirements into specification that will be used to implement required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data source
5. Designing and implement BI reporting applications.
6. Debugging, and troubleshooting BI solutions
7. Must be able to perform duties with low supervision
8. Identifies critical areas of the data structure and recommends improvements to existing reports and reporting processes.
9. Good communication skills
