The Infrastructure Administrator will be a key technical administrator on a team that provides technology solutions and services to Stryker's Global IT Organization. Working under the direction of the Stryker project manager for the Global Microsoft and Virtualization Solutions team, the Infrastructure Administrator will be responsible for the day to day management and delivery of Microsoft Server, server virtualization and application virtualization solutions throughout their region, while following global standards and policies. The Infrastructure Administrator will effectively install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and monitor Windows Server, VMware and Citrix solutions.
§ Be a key contributor in the installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of Microsoft servers, x86 systems and virtualization infrastructure across the region.
§ Be a key contributor to the creation of operational processes and procedures to ensure effective maintenance of the global infrastructure.
§ Collaborate with tier 1 and 2 support to provide effective knowledge transfer to proactively resolve issues.
§ Responsible for tier 3 support for all Microsoft, virtualization and Citrix issues and incidents including root cause analysis, issue resolution and escalation where appropriate.
§ Responsible for day to day operations, administration, maintenance and upgrades of Microsoft, virtualization and Citrix systems.
§ Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, file/print, anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions across the region
§ Manage reporting, monitoring and dashboarding solutions for auditing, usage and performance metrics using standard tools including SCOM, SCCM and vCOps.
§ Responsible for virtual infrastructure capacity management and monitoring including host capacity, DRS management, vMotion, storage and VM resource allocation
§ Maintain updated enterprise configuration management database (CMDB) for Microsoft and virtualization systems.
§ Comply with corporate policies for security, change management and asset management
