This request is for a contractor to support the OIM Data Management and Data Governance teams. As part of the continuous improvement processes, we need a senior business analyst to undertake the exercise of documenting the underlying data structures
Works as part of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Office of Information Management - Data Management and Data Governance teams to:
- Review the data related lineage and structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems
- Framework used during the review process: Questions asked; surveys, assessments, documentation reviewed, etc.
- Framework developed to document lineage results
- Documentation of identified gaps or needs that limit effectiveness of the current environment
- Review the agency data solutions; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications
- Establish documentation standards and related access methodologies for internal and external stakeholder use (CKAN for data catalogs)
- Perform a gap analysis evaluation of the agency's data landscape relevant to the industry and domain and recommends next steps
- Assist with agency self-assessment of data capabilities and maturity
