Job Description
Role: .Net Developer/Lead Developer (front end web dev C#)
Client: Leader in Local Media Growth Strategies for Websites, Broadband, Mobile, and Online Classifieds
Location: Long Island City, Queens
Type: 6-9 month contract that is RTH*will go perm

Description:
Our dynamic and growing company is looking for a talented software engineer to play a key role in our highly innovative product development team.  To be successful, you will need to be a fast learner who is comfortable working with a variety of technologies and solving complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

*This position will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

*You will be responsible for working in a fast-paced, small team environment to analyze, develop, and test software solutions to meet business needs.

Required Qualifications:

*8-10 years software engineering experience

*Extensive experience with MVC

*Strong knowledge of OO concepts and use of design patterns in software engineering

*Proven history of software builds from the ground up

*Experience developing and supporting scalable, enterprise grade software systems

*Understanding of basic web front-end technologies including HTML, JavaScript, XSL, XML, ASP

*Strong understanding of project lifecycle and intimate knowledge with coding, unit testing and code review phases

*Exceptionally strong problem solving and analytical skills

*Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with diverse personalities

*Strong business acumen

*Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

*Experience using C# and .NET technologies (Framework versions 3.0/3.5)

*Experience programming for the Windows operating system (including COM and Win32)

*Experience with enterprise database platforms (SQL Server 2008, etc.)

*Experience using Web Services (REST, XML-RPC)

*Experience using RUP or Agile methodologies

 

Education

*Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
