Position- MS .NET/Silverlight Developer

Location- Maryland

Duration- 6 Months Contract

 

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors in Computer Science
6+ years software engineering and development in a Microsoft multi- tiered environment
5+ years design and development in a Microsoft .NET environment, particularly ASP.NET, C#
2+ years experience with Microsoft Silverlight.
Experience with building highly scalable and robust web applications Strong software analysis and design skills developing applications that are scalable to enterprise level
5+ years SQL Server or Oracle experience including designing application database and deployment
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills

 

Position Duties/Responsibilities:  

 

• Develop, configure, implement, select, and support software for a variety of business entities.
• Lead hands-on effort to modify, develop, write and implement software applications
  Analysis, design, program, and implementation of new and existing systems
• Identify and implement technical innovations that add value and improve applications and work processes
• Develop system and application analyses
• Design application database schemas

·         Design and develop web applications

·         Develop application documentation

·         Work closely with other groups to assure that business requirements are accurately represented in design and implementation phases

·         Serve as a mentor to software engineers
Receive direction from various business divisions and provide direction for software engineers

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Ability to join an existing project and quickly become productive Working knowledge developing application for iOS
• Knowledge of the LAMP stack development and deployment
• Demonstrate ability to excel in requirement definition design and coding Experience with SSRS and SSAS and BizTalk
• Must possess good teamwork skills and work effectively with cross- functional, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in implementation, training, documentation, and support Applications for mobile devices
• Web Services Development experience
