Job Title:         Sr. Oracle DBA with SQL Server

Duration:          3-6 Months

Location:         Santa Anna, CA

• A senior-level Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with solid hands-on database administration experience. 
• The candidate must poses practical DBA experience in administrating and supporting primarily 24x7 enterprise Oracle, in conjunction to SQL Server DB environments with high-availability/uptime and scalable performance requirements.

 Primary Responsibilities:-

• Provide solid Oracle database administration, performance monitoring/ tuning, backup/recovery strategies, high availability solutions, and strong troubleshooting and analysis skills. In addition to SQL Server administration responsibilities.

• Provide high-quality, professional and timely support and sound technical DBA services (Oracle primarily and SQL Server) to production and product development. 
• Responsible for performing database installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Responsible for researching, and evaluating new databases features, technologies, and trends to provide innovative ideas and recommendations in order to improve the existing database infrastructure and support new projects and requirements.
• Responsible for developing, maintaining, implementing database documentation and DBA best practices.

 

Experience:-

• Proven in-depth experience in Oracle 9i/10g/11g database server architecture, administration, features, and advanced technologies including Oracle Data Guard, Streams, Partitioning, Oracle Text, and Spatial.

• Seasoned experiance in administrating SQL Server 2005 and SQL 2008 with good expertise in clustering, replication, and advnaced SQL server features.
• Well versed in UNIX/Linux and strong shell scripting experience and system capacity and monitoring.
• Good experience is SQL Server SSIS, Oracle SQL PL/SQL packages and procedures.
• Excellent analytical and project management skills.
• Excellent communicatation and collaboration skills in working professionally and effectively in a team environment.
• Team player, bright personality, and self-motivated.

Education: BS in computer science or IT related field.
