Job Description:

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Architect, design and develop Oracle and MySQL based database solutions
• Design and Develop database components offer good performance and scalability
• Produce high quality design and code with little supervision
• Conduct feasibility studies and prototypes
• Mentor other team members on latest technology

 Must-have Skills:

• B.Tech in computer science with 5+ years of progressive relevant experience
• A broad background in business functions, as well as a good understanding of web systems, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and operations.
• Strong development experience in highly available Java server platform applications.
• Strong experience with in the following technologies is required : Java, Web services, XML, Messaging Technologies, Oracle and MySQL database technologies.
• Strong experience in Systems analysis, design and development, database schema design (data modeling), ETL and database programming (SQL and PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers etc)
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience of performance tuning techniques and tools
• Must have worked on designing and developing reporting solutions for high transaction database solutions
• Strong experience with improving performance and scalability of high volume transactional systems using applicable techniques like caching, distribution, partitioning etc.
• Excellent communication (verbal & written),  interpersonal, collaboration, and problem solving skills
• Familiarity with Change management software
• Familiarity with Linux environments

 

Desired Skills:

• Programming experience in scripting languages such as Perl, shell scripts is a great plus
• Experience with OBIEE applications is a great plus
• Worked with structured and unstructured data
• Project or people management experience is a plus
