Work Description:

As an Applications Developer, you will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications for the Chase Online customer base.  This position requires a high level of development expertise with Internet based programming architectures and Object Oriented principles.  The ability to communicate effectively is also required as you will work closely with other groups both within and outside of CIG to coordinate design, development, and testing efforts of your assigned application components to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

 

The Java Applications Developer position in CIG Payments is responsible for ensuring the successful design, development, testing, and implementation of application components from a project level.  You will utilize mature programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures, and techniques.  You will be focused primarily on middleware applications development.

 

• Minimum of four years of professional experience as an Application Developer using core Java and J2EE (Servlets, EJB, JNDI, JMS, JDBC)
• Experience in the full software development and project lifecycle
• Experience with high volume, mission critical applications
• Experience leading a small group of developers (onshore or offshore) to completion of project deliverables is preferred.
• Strong design, coding, testing and debugging skills with Internet applications
• Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures required; experience with Rational ClearCase preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills

• IBM Rational Application Developer
• Spring Framework
• Rational ClearCase
• Design Patterns
