Job Title: Sr. Java Developer (Need Local consultant only from bay area who can come for Face to face)

Duration: 6+ months

Mountain View, CA

Duties: The Endpoint Virtualization team is seeking a senior software engineer who is well versed in architecting, designing and being involved in scalable and robust component based server products. As a member this distributed team, you will participate in all phases of product development life cycle from definition and design through implementation, testing and debugging. You will work closely with other developers to define functional and design specifications, find
solutions to problems, provide expert and timely support for customer issues that are escalated to development. You will have opportunities to provide technical leadership and take ownership of various component development and maintenance. The candidate should be a recognized expert
in product life cycle with a focus in database and server technologies and a good understanding of component architecture. Candidate should demonstrate thorough knowledge of different layers and their  inter and intra communications. Have the ability to work without supervision and deliver high quality products in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications: 

• Thorough understanding of component architecture, with strong object-oriented analysis and design skills (design patterns is a plus)
• Hands on with technologies in J2EE stack including JDBC, JMX, JMS, EJB, JNDI, JCA (JAXP, JAXB and JAAS would be a plus)
• Working knowledge of application servers such as JBoss and Servlet containers such as Apache Tomcat
• Expertise in relational database schema designing (preferably MS-SQL server and Oracle) and using persistence layer technologies in conjunction with databases
• Working knowledge of LDAP servers such as Active Directory, Novel eDirectory and integrations with these is a must Good knowledge of web frameworks such as GWT, Wicket, AJAX based java script Knowledge of communications between C++ & Java and experience with internationalization would be a great addition
• Excellent oral and written communication and teamwork skills

 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering preferred. 6+ years software development experience with at least 3 years product development
