Job Description:
The candidate for this position will be responsible for providing software design and development and second line production support for the website MVSS (My Verizon Support System) used by Verizon Call Centers for assisting Verizon.com customers. This includes web service and API integration with various other Verizon.com and Verizon applications, as well as providing web services to other Call Center applications.
The candidate will work closely with Project Managers and other members of internal and external Development Teams on the design, development and project lifecycle schedules. The candidate will be directly responsible for web and web service GUI, application and software high level and detail designs, software development using Microsoft.net technologies (C#, ASP.net, ADO.net, ASP.net Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, Ajax, JQUERY, XML/XSLT). Software development includes creating or maintaining Microsoft SQL SPs and working with Microsoft SQL databases. The candidate will be responsible for unit testing, coordinating and supporting system testing, user acceptance testing and pre and post production testing. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting post production releases including customer, client and other reported discrepancies and issues, including data and software triage analysis and applying software fixes to reported bugs as needed. The triage process includes analyzing data and logs from Microsoft SQL databases, application log files, Event Viewer logs and other error and exception logs to determine root-cause of the issue, as well as coordinate with interfacing teams when applicable.

• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with web APIs and Microsoft development frameworks
• Visual Studio 2005/2008, C#, .Net 2.0/3.0/3.5 Frameworks, ASP.Net ADO.net, ASP.net Web Services (including Soap technologies)
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008
• Microsoft MSSQL 2005 (or later) - including in-line queries and stored procedures
• HTML/XHTML, CSS XML/XSLT Verizon 1.0 (or later) with user interface design experience
• JavaScript

Education and Years of Experience
• BS in computer science or a related field
• 4+ years experience with ASP.net technologies, HTML/XHTML and CSS
