Overview:
The web implementation analyst will support the support the analytic needs and be a steward for the quality of click stream data collection for the organization. This role will ensure tracking requirements are met or maintained within releases. This role will regularly audit key website page flows as well as investigate tracking issues to determine root cause. This role will also perform ad-hoc reporting and utilizing our web analytic reporting tools.
Responsibilities:
· Propose solutions and develop requirements documentation
· Ensure tracking requirements are met or maintained within releases
· Ensure best practices and standards are maintained
· Support the analytic needs of a high-volume ecommerce business unit by analyzing web traffic using clickstream tools such as ClickTracks, Omniture, etc.
· Assist in driving the data strategy across multiple data platforms and applications (websites, surveys, testing, CRM systems, market research etc).
· Work with Product Management and Engineering to understand designs and implementation details.
· Investigate root cause for reported issues.
· Coordinate implementations of multiple websites and perform final acceptance testing.
· Develop Test Cases and perform functional testing.
· Document test findings and communicate issue and potential gaps in data collection.
· Create or improve documentation relating to existing implementations.
Required Skills/ Experience:
· Experience implementing click stream analysis tool tracking: Omniture, ClickTracks, WebTrends, HBX, CoreMetrics etc.
· Able to work effectively in the following skill areas as it relates to analytic data capture:
o Scripting: JavaScript, ActionScript, Python, and/or PERL.
o Mobile Technologies: iOS and Android – nice to have
o Networking and Web Technologies.
o Linux, Windows, and Mac Operating systems.
o Software QA methodologies.
- Experience utilizing standard click stream analysis tools: Omniture, ClickTracks, WebTrends, HBX, CoreMetrics etc.
- Experience in one or more roles in a high-volume ecommerce environment.
- Excellent process thinking, investigative, and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
- Excellent documentation and written communication skills.
- Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team.
- Uses sound judgment to identify issues and escalates when appropriate.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
