Position: Lead .Net Backend Developer
Location: Culver City, CA.
Duration: Long Term
· At least 5 years experience as a back-end .NET developer
Client is looking for an experienced, creative, and highly motivated back-end .NET developer to help develop and maintain services designed to facilitate various digital asset management workflows. We're looking for quick-learning individuals who thrive on new challenges.
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, test, deploy, and document back-end code for DMG's digital asset management services, including:
· Implementing new enhancements to our existing services
· Troubleshooting issues with our existing systems
· Work on a team of software developers, business analysts, systems analysts, testers, and managers
· Share acquired skills/knowledge with team members and mentor junior developers as necessary
· Actively contribute new ideas and programming concepts to the team
· Follow coding standards
Requirements
· Deep experience in most (preferably, all) of the following:
· .NET Framework 4.0ASMX and WCF web services
· RESTful services
· Service-oriented architecture
· Windows services
· Oracle (PL/SQL and stored procedures
· LINQ
· ADO.NET Entity Framework|
· IIS (preferably 7 or 7.5)
· Windows Server (preferably 2008 R2)
· Visual Studio (2008 and 2010)
· XML and JSON
· XSL and XSLT
· Database design / performance tuning
· Experience with the provider model design pattern
· Must possess nearly unparalleled problem-solving and analytical skills
· Impeccable attention to detail
· Can take a high-level idea and develop it into something tangible with little or no guidance or supervision
· Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with team members
· Knowledge of coding and testing best practices
· Actively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies
· Ability to code under pressure
· Self-motivated
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Must have a sense of humor
Bonus (nice to have, but not required)
· Working knowledge of FFMPEG and/or AviSynth
· Familiarity with .NET Framework 4.5 and Visual Studio 2012
· Experience with caching systems (such as memcached or Windows Server AppFabri
· Working knowledge of Windows Workflow Foundation (WFF)
· Experience with IIS Application Request Routing (APP)
· NoSQL database experience
· Familiarity with Amazon web services (AWS)
· Digital asset management (DAM) experience
· Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Git
· Agile/Scrum development experience
· Experience on projects implementing continuous integration
· Good understanding of software configuration management best practices
