Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Coopersburg, PA

 

JD:

 

Academic Degree(s) required:

4 Year Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

 

Experience Required:

·          Electrical

o    5 years analog or digital electrical design

·          Software

o    2 years experience in software (C++, C, C#, etc.)

o    Knowledge of object oriented programming

o    Familiarity with Communication Protocols (Ethernet, USB, RS-485)

·          Manufacturing

o    Experience designing equipment to meet safety standards

o    Working knowledge of how to qualify test equipment using statistics

·          Communication

o    Listens and answers the questions asked with sufficient detail.  Asks appropriate questions and knows when to stop speaking.

·          Ability to solve complex technical hardware and software issues related to product testing

 

 

Experienced Desired:

·          Manufacturing test equipment design, fabrication and implementation

·          Experience integrating test instruments

·          Knowledge of schematic software

·          Experience working in larger development teams (>5 designers)

 

 

Principal Accountabilities:

·          Design of manufacturing test equipment (hardware and software)

·          Create tester software based upon Lutron Framework (C#)

·          Work with inside and outside resources in the design / fabrication of this equipment

·          Oversee and conduct the qualification of this equipment (Gage studies, cycling, etc.)

·          Document test equipment (Schematics, BOM's, manuals)
