| MOI:- Telephonic Hire Only Only locals are required The System Administrator I provides phone support for technical issues reported to client and performs minor software upgrades such as Firmware upgrades or DB2 fix packs. Essential functions include: Provides support for basic technical issues. Resolves Customer issues within appropriate timeframe to ensure customer satisfaction. Enters and updates incident details using our CRM system. Participates in the On-Call rotation when needed. Participates in special projects that may require direct interaction with the customer and may require work at unusual hours of the day. Performs simple software upgrades such as firmware upgrades, DB2/SQL Server fix packs, service packs or updates. Produces and maintains work instructions when required. Performs tests on hardware when assigned to determine its compatibility with our products. Utilizes strong communications skills in both writing and verbal skills. Troubleshoots server environment as it relates to (but not limited to): proprietary products, 3rd party products, network configurations and concepts, Operating System functions, virtualization concepts and vendor specific hardware configurations. Understands and troubleshoots hardware and peripheral concepts, architecture, and installations. Display strong software troubleshooting and diagnostics skills. Minimum Requirements: Requires a minimum of 2 year degree in a computer field or a combination of relevant education and equivalent experience. One year of Customer Service or Technical Support experience. Demonstrated customer service skills. Strong knowledge of computers and/or networks. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Detail oriented and able to follow through on customer issues to resolution. Ability to act both independently and as a team member. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills: Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a diverse audience. High level reasoning skills with the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of data in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions presented in both written and oral form. Presents a professional and positive image at all times. One year of experience with one or more of the following technologies and operating systems, but not limited to: Microsoft Windows XP/7/8, Unitrends, Symantec Backup Exec, Windows Remote Desktop Services, Citrix XenApps, Microsoft Active Directory, WAN Networking (VPN, Trusts), Vmware ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V, IBM AIX 5/6, IBM DB2 8/9, Microsoft SQL Server 05/08/12, Microsoft Windows Server 05/08/12, and IBM Standalone and Blade/SAN configurations. Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in configuration and maintenance of backup systems. Three years of experience providing technical support. One year of experience using a CRM system like Pivotal. Working knowledge of either Intel or AIX systems. Three years of experience with one or more of the following technologies and operating systems, but not limited to: Microsoft Windows XP/7/8, Unitrends, Symantec Backup Exec, Windows Remote Desktop Services, Citrix XenApps, Microsoft Active Directory, WAN Networking (VPN, Trusts), Vmware ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V, IBM AIX 5/6, IBM DB2 8/9, Microsoft SQL Server 05/08/12, Microsoft Windows Server 05/08/12, and IBM Standalone and Blade/SAN configurations |
