Net Developer Overview: The successful candidate will be an effective senior problem solver with the ability to translate user requirements into scalable and reliable web solutions. They will have strong knowledge of C# .NET 3.5+ and other web technologies such as AJAX, JQuery and CSS. The developer will work closely with a Product Manager and provide development expertise in a team of Developers; Technical Leads; Product Managers, Scrum-masters and Project Managers to build and deliver the platform and product to our global markets in an Agile development methodology environment. .Net Developer Job Responsibilities: Perform advanced and highly complex software design and development in primary technologies – primary focus will be .net 3.5 and 4.5 with a heavy focus around Microsoft WCF, ASP.NET, MVC – within assigned agile project teams. Perform unit and Integration testing of software stories and modules on the most complex projects Participate as a member of large solutions teams followingcompany’s software development methodology – Agile Work self-directed in the project teams – requiring minimal guidance and mentoring from the Development Manager Participate in, conduct and lead peer reviews and code walkthroughs – mentoring more junior team members Perform complex defect resolution during all testing phases including user acceptance testing Participate and provide in retrospective reviews after product release Support and participate in the estimation process for new work packages and releases Participate in key initiatives as assigned to implement best practices in development and testing. .Net Developer Job Requirements: 7+ years’ production application development experience. Experience in the design, development and testing using .net framework - .net 2.0, 3.5 and 4 Experience in mentoring junior development team members Thorough understanding of the principles of OO development and structuring n-tier applications Knowledge of Agile development techniques including: Iterative Development Refactoring Unit Testing Automated Builds & Deployment of Software solutions Continuous Integration Test Driven Development Knowledge of formal testing and deployment methods throughout development through to go-live (system, regression, and UAT testing) Desirable Educated to degree level in an information technology related field Exposure to working in virtual teams – especially across differing geographies a plus Specific knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: WebAPI ASP MVC Desirable. Oracle 8i, 9i,10g, or 11g UML XML |
