Job Title: Application Development - Sr. Programmer/Analyst
Location: Oakbrook, IL
Duration: 12 months
Job Description: The main purpose of this initiative is to support development activities of various RBis Applications using Oracle PL/SQL, ASP. NET, VB.NET, VB6, and other 3rd party development tools.
A Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for developing new functionality, interfaces and modifying existing tools to enable new capabilities, based on defined requirements for these IT solutions, developing and executing unit testing, and assisting with System testing, implementation and training when necessary. The person in this role will be required to acquire an in-depth understanding of the technology involved with these applications and to work directly with the application technology to create prototypes and configure solutions. This role also includes collaborating with IT infrastructure specialists to leverage infrastructure capabilities and expertise in optimizing designs and applications.
Programmer Analyst should have
· 5+ years of IT experience in client-server/Web application development.
· Oracle and SQL Server (2000 2008) database experience is also required.
Required Competencies/Additional Information (technology skills listed in order of importance):
· Oracle PL/SQL
· VBA
· Excel development
· ASP. NET
· VB.NET
· VB6
· SQL Server 2008 (not required, but a plus) *Crystal reporting(not required, but a plus)
· Strong communication skills, written & verbal
· Detail oriented, ability to understand the requirements and develop based on the specifications
· Team player, flexible, collaborative.
· Self-Accountability, quick learner.
