Position: Network Firewall Engineer

Location: Troy, MI

Duration: 6 months+

 

Job description:

 

Looking for two firewall engineers to work on site in our client's office to help manage their firewalls.  They  currently use the Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls.  The individuals would be responsible for troubleshooting issues, configuring new rules, and also assisting with any technical design issues that arise during this time. 

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

* Managing and monitoring security communication devices across the enterprise.
* Provide users and business partners with second level security technical support.
* Diagnose security operations problems and perform the appropriate repairs.
* Process and implement move, add and change requests for security operations.
* Prepare technical specifications and drawings for security operational changes and additions.
* Support preventive maintenance efforts, change management activities, and project initiatives to meet organizational objectives.
* Develop and maintain documentation to support the security environment.
* Develop specifications for equipment, systems, and services for security operations.
* Assist in the development of network and security communication standards and configuration management.

 

Must Have:

Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewall experience.
