Using the salesforce.com platform and the force.com developer toolkit this customer-facing resource will work with counterparts in IT, and potentially end-users in the business to create solutions on the salesforce.com platform.

What are the essential functions of the job?

1.     Responsible for the development, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of complex enterprise-wide monitoring processes.  Interfaces with internal and external contacts to develop monitoring solutions and to troubleshoot / resolve issues.  Acts as an escalation point for any technical issues regarding monitoring that require advanced skills, knowledge and troubleshooting.

2.     Responsible for monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and upgrades of servers, network infrastructure, base software services, power distribution systems and environmental systems for the distributed internal network as well as the monitoring of connectivity to vendors, partners and subsidiaries.

3.     Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of server and service workstation security in compliance with corporate security standards.  This function includes the evaluation of system security reports, determination of appropriate remedial actions, and coordination of remediation with system owners/users in order to minimize impact to operations, and testing/certification of the remediated systems to verify system functionality and correction of the security issue.
