Title: Citirix Xen App architect

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Duration: 3-6 Months

 

Description of Task Deliverables – Task Description: I. The initial week will be scoping out specific activities and architecture plans. II. Review architecture design and implementation of XenApp 6.5/7.0 environments. These environments involve 60 to 80 servers and 8 to 12 farms. III. Tasks associated with migration from Citrix XenApp 4.5 Environments to XenApp 6.5/7.0 environments. IV. Implement and review for security best practices of Netscaler and Citrix XenApp Environments. V. Architect and setup the best configuration for provisioning, deployment, gold images, SCCM integration, etc. VI. Setup for both application deployment and limited shared desktops VII. Provide advice on processes around deployment, security, troubleshooting, monitoring, etc. VIII. Cross-training/Knowledge Transfer with SSRC staff. IX. Create complete and accurate project, system, application, and security documentation as required. X. Develop timelines as requested. XI. Evaluate and recommend improvements to SSRC (and customer) systems, system tools, and/or processes as needed. XII. Other tasks as directed by Platform Manager. XIII. Possibly setup a proof of concept for additional features.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES: Required Consultant Skills, Knowledge, Abilities (Minimum): Citrix XenApp Expert – specifically Citrix XenApp 6.5 & 7.0 Platinum and above. Strong experience with Windows Server Operating Systems. Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory. Strong experience architecting and setting up new Citrix farms with migration from previous versions.. Strong experience with Netscaler setup and configuration. Strong experience with various security issues and configuration for remote access. Strong experience with setting up Citrix in a multi-domain environment. Preferred Consultant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:   Citrix XenApp Certification.
