Title: Database Developer
Location: Austin, Texas
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Job Description:
§ Maintain 24/7 operations of highly customized database designed with Ruby on Rails, MySQL running under Tomcat and Apache on Windows server.
§ Make modifications to existing database to improve functionality and stability.
§ Research, recommend and assist in procurement, implementation and configuration of a replacement database product.
§ Lead migration of current database to new database product.
§ Modify functionality of database based on needs of Communications team.
§ Train Web Services and IT staff to use/maintain/modify new database product.
§ Create user manual/training guide.
§ Participate in conference calls with Communications/IT staff.
Minimum Requirements:
