Primary Responsibilities:
The general duties and responsibilities of the position are included in but not limited to the information listed below.
Develop web-based solutions and web-enable existing client server and SQL applications in a team-based environment.
Serve as the first tier of support for identifying bugs, issues and other application anomalies reported from application end users.
Troubleshoot ASP, SQL, C# and VB solutions to ensure quality, functionality, reliability, and stability.
Migrate applications using classic ASP to the newer versions of ASP.NET.
Develop user documentation (as required by individual projects)
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and internal customers in the conceptualizing and development of new internet and intranet facing applications.
Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
Document and execute test plans
Train end users to operate new or modified applications.
Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
Provide guidance to other team members.

Required Experience:
Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major
Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time, experience as an application developer displaying increasing levels of responsibility required.
Successful candidate must demonstrate experience delivering enterprise class business applications using web and .NET
Strong knowledge of .NET technologies (VB.NET and C#)
Experience with IIS, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Microsoft SQL (TSQL) technologies
Knowledge of classic ASP and VBScript legacy technologies is preferred
Experience troubleshooting small to medium sized applications written in legacy technologies (Classic ASP)
Knowledge of .NET design patterns
Experience with version control software preferred
Knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT preferred
Experience with Web Services preferred
Experience working with Web Content Management Systems preferred (Kentico a plus)
Experience working with GIS mapping APIs is a plus
Experience with jQuery or similar libraries strongly preferred
Excellent understanding of coding methods, Software Development Lifecycle, Secure Coding Practices.
Thorough understanding of Windows Server and IIS Server
Experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans.
Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
