Skills Required and Job Description:

MOI:- Telephonic + Skype summary: the production support specialist is responsible for supporting backoffice applications and systems.  the right candidate will thrive on troubleshooting and resolving complicated software and database issues, while presenting a customer-friendly face to the rest of the organization. as a key member of a small team dedicated to supporting our production software, we will seek your subject matter expertise in resolving issues related to all the backoffice applications and database systems. challenges facing the production support specialist would include creating complicated t-sql scripts for troubleshooting and resolving production data issues, checking out error logs and analyzing code to resolve issues with java based batch jobs and services.  the specialist will also be responsible for understanding requirements and implementing hot fixes to be deployed to production outside the regularly scheduled releases.  the production support specialist will work closely with the different backoffice development teams to understand existing applications as well as new and updated applications that are deployed to production regularly. he/she will need to act as a gatekeeper to the productions systems to perform due diligence in ensuring necessary operation guides are created and appropriate knowledge transfer has been completed prior to deployment to production. the specialist will look for and identify opportunities for improving existing processes and deployment workflow. when the schedule permits it, the candidate might also be asked to work with backoffice development teams to help develop, test, and release updates to the backoffice applications and systems. Requirements: extensive database development experience with emphasis on complex stored procedure and trigger design and construction in a t-sql environment (5+ years) expertise in java (j2se) and/or c# application development experience with financial services clients is a plus lean/agile development experience  is a plus ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workloads strong problem-solving and analytical skills in a multi-platform environment. good customer service skills. ability to work with different teams to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
