Skills Required and Job Description:

MOI:- Telephonic + Face 2 Face  

Description: 

Our client is looking to add an experienced SQL DBA to their Software Development team. 

This position will also be involved in developing coding standards, design and development methodologies, performing design reviews, performing training, mentoring associate developers and assisting with work plan development and work estimates.

 

  • Author complex stored procedures using T-SQL
  • Develop and manage database ETL processes used to generate client deliverables
  • Debug and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures and address performance issues as they arise
  • Perform database modeling and design
  • Implement and manage database backup, archive, and recovery processes
  • Install and configure new SQL Servers
  • Basic understanding of SSIS and SSRS
  • Experience managing code via TFS
  • Ability to generate and read query execution plans
  • Troubleshoot SQL Server issues as they occur
  • Communicate project status, issues and resolutions in a timely manner
  • Deploy database change scripts provided by internal and third party vendors
  • Document the company’s database environment
  • Ensure that new database code meets company standards
  • Advise developers on efficient database designs
  • Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business needs
  • 5 years of successful MS SQL Server (2005 and up) and T-SQL development experience.
  • 3 years of design and development experience in object oriented software solutions.
  • Experience with Erwin modeling tools
  • Demonstrated communication skills to effectively provide and receive information relative to assigned projects.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to handle changing priorities, tight schedules, and correction of critical systems outside normal working hours.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and software quality.
  • Demonstrated experience with software development methodologies
  • Relevant Education- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Systems, or equivalent experience preferred.
