| MOI: Phone + F2F (Skype Possible) Please Note: This is a very senior-level role…must have Architect exp…this is not a position for a regular .NET Developer If you are a technical authority on .NET and Web architecture with experience designing application solutions to correct issues, design flaws and also can effectively lead teams this may be the project for you! The Challenge - The Application Support Architect (ASA) is a high profile and critical position, responsible for last resort (development level) trouble management and restoration engineering, for our client’s Self-Service applications.
- This role is for a seasoned professional, who will be the technical authority on application and system architecture and operational methods and procedures.
- The ASA will direct a team of .NET developers and Quality Assurance Analysts both onshore and offshore. The position requires a balance of technical ability and leadership acumen.
- This is a demanding role that will require a somewhat strident personality who can compel individuals across the organization to accomplish necessary tasks.
Core Responsibilities - Work with business operations team, system operations team, and customer care teams to establish the processes, tools and knowledge required to support our applications and systems
- Investigate incidents and events to determine issues, customer impact and scope.
- Design application solutions to correct issues, design flaws and adjust for changes by application dependencies.
- Delegate development tasks to developers, provide guidance, review solutions and review code
- Create communications for executive management, customer care and business partners to explain complex issues in terms each can understand
- Lead the effort to document all existing systems, and generate the “playbooks” other support personnel will use to support and maintain our applications.
- Establish the policies for developers to ensure proper documentation, synthetics, reporting, analytics, etc., are created in the development phase.
Required Skills/Experience Overview:
A very Senior .NET guru with Architect experience and effective communication skills who can direct a team of Developers and QA Analysts. - Must have an architecture/engineering background, an understanding of object oriented and Service Oriented Architecture.
- 2+ years experience architecting solutions for enterprise scale Web applications
- 3+ years experience developing or supporting enterprise scale, mission critical applications using NET framework, ASP.NET / C#
- 8+ years professional software development experience
- Proficient with consumption of communication services (LINQ, WCF, XML, rest, WCF/SOAP/XML/XSLT)
- Experience with ITIL or other similar methodology
- Strong SQL Server experience
- Skilled in front end technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery
Soft Skills – the consultant selected for this position must be able to do the following: - Adapt to constantly changing priorities and must be able to stay composed under pressure.
- Prioritize, delegate, and work under deadlines.
- Translate complex technical issues and communicate effectively and confidently (in writing, on the phone, and face to face) with enterprise architects, developers, customers and executive management alike.
Nice to Have - Sitecore CMS Experience a significant advantage
- Experience with Entity Framework ORM
