Title : Sr Java J2ee Developer in Chicago, IL
Duration : 6+ Months
Rate: $50/hr on C2C Max
Position Summary:
This is a mid-level role that requires solid understanding of core Java and of UI concepts. The desired candidate will be expected to work the complete stack, including front-end, back-end, web services and database layers with greater emphasis on the back-end. Key Responsibilities
· Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements
· Envision system features and functionality
· Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server scripting
· Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules and activities
· Contribute to team meetings, troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple
· environments and operating platforms
· Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
· Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
· Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
· Contribute to building a better infrastructure through application testing
Education and Experience Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems Management or equivalent experience; Master’s level degree preferred
· Strong knowledge of core Java (jdk 1.5/1.6/1.7)
· 3 years’ of overall software experience
· Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
· Understanding of concepts and fundamentals of Java and computer science, including multi-threading and memory management and web services
· Working knowledge and experience with front-end development (JavaScript, AJAX frameworks, CSS, HTML)
· Relational database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, ORM technologies, JPA2, Hibernate)
· Knowledge of Object Oriented analysis and experience with design and developing applications using Java EE platform

This position reports to the Lead Software Engineer/Architect and will be located at the downtown Chicago office.
