Principal Android Engineer
As a Principal Android Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of android applications and services used to deliver cutting edge experiences. You will work in a fast-paced environment where continuous change, innovation and experimentation are a given. You will work with established and cutting edge technologies like Android, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Scala, Hadoop among others. You will demonstrate mastery in one or more of these technologies. You will be an expert in mobile apps powered by distributed systems. You will be a leader, mentor and role model for your peers and juniors.
The Principal Android Engineer will - Develop cutting edge Android applications for a fast growing team!
- Manage the current android team and build the team
- Developing cutting-edge mobile applications for the Android platforms
- Full cycle application development from design, architecture to release
- Any experience with SaaS/consumer facing products
- Experience with mobile application development for the Android Platform
- Experience developing iOS applications is a plus
- Experience with JavaScript and Mobile UI Design
- Experience with working with large datasets
- Game/Mobile Analytics
- Client / Server Architecture
- Shipped multiple products for iOS and/or Android
- Comfortable with fast-paced, collaborative, iterative development
- Comfortable with multi-tasking – we’re a small, fast-paced, consumer focussed team
- Must be a proficient Android programmer, devoting at least 90% of time working hands-on, writing code in their current position
- Solid Java development foundation
- Good understanding of web technologies and Linux
- Active member/contributor of user groups or open source projects
- Thrive working in a fast pace, start-up environment with constant learning

Requirements - BS/MS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in development of Android/Linux solutions and related tools.
- Strong track record of delivering successful commercial software products.
- Effective product management and communication skills.
- Innovative thinker in all areas of system design and debugging.
- Proven ability to initiate original and creative technical efforts.
- Ability to multitask, and work effectively in fast paced environment.
