Title : CISCO Network Infrastructure Engineer

Description:
The Infrastructure Engineer will be an integral part of the Internal IT Infrastructure/ Security Operations team at Intralinks. Flexible and cross functional responsibilities spanning the entire IT organization. Such team member will work with Intralinks teams to build secure, highly available and scalable solutions. NOC support/experience required 24/7
Primary Responsibilities:
Networking / Cisco / Juniper SRX/MX
- Develop detailed implementation plans to accommodate network growth, security and enhancements of network equipment (i.e. Cisco routers, firewalls, switches, Patching, Load Balancers, MPLS, OSPF, NAT, BGP, SNMP v3 OID's, Nexus 5k,7k, Nessus, Nmap, VLAN, VPC, Cisco ACE,IGRP, HSRP, ASR1001, ASR1002 w/SFP's, Avaya and Cisco voice gateways)
- Monitor network implementation, providing support in a timely and accurate manner; know and support approved corporate and departmental policies relating to business procedures and governance, design network performance reports, detailing network status for management in an accurate and timely manner
- Deployment, test and optimization of Cisco wireless network, Aironet Aps, Wi-Fi controllers
- Able to configure, troubleshoot QoS, CoS for VOIP and Video for MPLS devices
- Provide network security by configuring routers, switches, firewalls etc. according to company security standards; monitor security measures in place within network perimeter, ensuring security breaches do not occur and information is safeguarded from unauthorized users, SOPHOS UTM Gateways, IDS, FireEye, Splunk, Solarwinds, etc.
Storage / NetApp/ VMWare / Solaris Virtual environment
- Maintain storage hardware and software, including storage subsystems
- Storage monitoring and usage reporting
- Management of LUNS, disk volumes virtual technology
- System monitoring, preventative maintenance, software installation, firmware updates, upgrades, hardware installation, provisioning, etc.
- Design and maintain replication strategy
- Storage availability health checks
- Ensure sensitive data stored on enterprise storage is adequately secured
- Implementation of backup and restore, disaster recovery, storage consolidation, data protection, storage performance, etc.
- Optimization including upgrades, performance monitoring and system audit tasks
- Technical leadership in providing mentoring and guidance to technical team members
- Provide ongoing maintenance and growth of storage systems by developing and maintaining adequate storage documentation
- Provide capacity planning for all storage technologies
- Perform activities to deploy and support the enterprise storage infrastructure, including:
+ SAN (Fiber channel and iSCSI), NAS (NFS and CIFS), and direct-attached storage
+ Multi-protocol storage architecture
+ Data protection strategies and implementations
+ Storage provisioning
+ Project planning
+ Storage component selection, configuration planning, and procurement
+ Hardware installation and maintenance
+ Configuration and maintenance of storage component software
+ Configuration and management of storage monitoring
+ Performance analysis and capacity planning for storage infrastructure
+ Data security configuration and management
+ Identification, diagnosis, and resolution of storage-related problems
Cisco UCS
* Maintain and enhance our UCS installations
VMware
* Excellent VMWare skills (ESX installs maintenance, updates, vCenter, monitoring, and configuration)
- Partner with Intralinks key employees to manage change control and project work
- Other responsibilities include auditing current environments, capacity planning, and providing best practices for the future production/development/test environments, which will include establishing new standards and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skill, able to train or mentor staff, transfer knowledge and be an escalation point for IT Services staff when needed
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to analyze a production issues, document and execute the right course of action to restore services
- Member of the 24x7 Production On Call rotation (This will change soon)
Amazon Web Services (Optional)
Configuration and deployment experience in two or more of the following:
-AWS apps technologies such as RDS, Elastic Beanstalk
-AWS IaaS Technologies such as EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, VPC, Route 53,
-Deployed applications with Web UI frontends
-Deployed application with RESTful/SOAP services interfaces
-Experience building private AMI's on VPC's
-LAMP Stack and Linux experience
-Experience in deployment to multiple availability zones and regions with active/active or -auto failover inclusive of addressing data assurance, auto scaling, outages
-Strong business process/system analytical skills
Key needs – Juniper firewalls and Routers, Some Cisco. They need some advice on configuring cisco wifi, QOS, COS, NetApp and AWS
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
* Minimum of 5 years' professional hands on experience with Cisco
* Minimum of 5 years' professional hands on experience with NetApp
* F5 Load Balancers
* Juniper VPN
* Windows server administration is a plus
* Basic Linux/Unix skills
* Excellent communication skills are required
* Superior customer service skills
* Ability to work with all levels of the organization
* Must have a sense of urgency and takes initiative
* Must work well as an individual contributor and in a team environment
* Knowledge of PowerCLI, PowerShell, Bash, Perl, etc. is a plus
* Sense of humor is a requirement
