The Business Analyst – Financials is responsible for understanding project goals, making a plan to achieve those goals, managing changes, and promoting the alignment of established goals with business decisions throughout the life of a project.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
· Business Analyst experience in financials such as any of the following:
· Healthcare experience such as any of the following:
o Working with or for CMS on a healthcare project
o Having direct experience in working with state health agencies
o Having direct experience with working on a HIX project
· Industry-recognized Business Analyst Certification preferred
o Experience with accounts receivables and accounts payable
o Experience with card processing and settlement
o Experience with lock box processing
· Five (5) or more years of demonstrated Business Analyst experience
· One (1) or more years of hands on Systems/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
· Experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies
· Experience in producing deliverable quality documents
· Demonstrated successful engagement in multiple simultaneous initiatives/projects
· Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
· Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio
