Position: Linux HPC Cluster Admin

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Type: Contract

 

Job Description :

Administration of ~ 100 RedHat Linux nodes with GigE/Infiniband interconnect
 

•    Monitoring and ensuring smooth operation: setting up alerts, resource utilization reports
•    Troubleshooting: application not running, cannot connect
•    Application installation
•    Build experience (compilers/linkers/makefiles)
•    Network share creation
•    Setting up web pages with apache
•    Scripting with shell, java script, perl
•           Experience with job scheduler for HPC like Slurm/LSF
•           Some exposure to CAE applications (like CFD ACE/Ansys/NASTRAN…) 
•           Needs to work with users to understand and address any issues related to the setup
•           There is an existing cluster setup of ~ 32 nodes and it is being expanded. Current setup uses IBM LSF (aka platform LSF) but planning to switch to Slurm
