Job Description:
• Create a usable environment in MySQL that will replace data located in multiple SQL Express databases
• Implement existing SQL code to enhance data records for analysis by data analytics team
• Assist in building an environment within MySQL that would allow team to expand our source data (this is simply database builds, which we talked about)
• Ensure that environment is optimized to the extent it can be in order to facilitate various queries, most of which are pre-defined
The environment we are asking them to support exists within our own PC servers - not Enterprise.
Candidate is responsible for the daily operations and support of the IAS data team. This encompasses routine functions, such as daily file download, storage, and compilations; managing and optimizing data environment, ad-hoc request handling, uploads, and maintenance of databases within MySQL, SQLExpress, and/or WPS. Candidate will also be responsible for long tern projects, process improvement, server monitoring, and solution proposals.
Job Specific Responsibilities
• performance of DBA responsibilities, including performance monitoring, optimization, storage, backup, design, and implementation of databases; download and compile text files into storage for processing;
• maintain DSB environments within two physical servers; continue data migration from WPS to MySQL;
• complete weekly compilations for reporting;
• complete compilations for 3x monthly reporting in WPS;
• maintain data in a secure environment
