Job Role:  Web Security Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale - California

Duration: 6+Months

 

Job description:

·         3+ years of experience working with multiple operation systems, with expert level knowledge of UNIX

·         3+ years supporting services in a high volume mission-critical environment

·         Strong background in host and application security

·         Experience with applied cryptography including PKI, SSL, key management, SSH identities

·         Design of configuration management tools

·         Working knowledge of network protocols such as DNS, LDAP, DHCP, NFS, Kerberos, etc.

·         Understanding of techniques for distributed authentication and identity management

·         Proficient in at least two of Python, C, Perl, or shell

·         Familiarity with software engineering tools (version control, deployment tools, etc.)

·         Understanding of application (web/thick client) architecture techniques

·         Experience with log management and related tools

·         Information assurance, audit and compliance

·         Enterprise computing architecture

·         Computer security hardening

·         UNIX host-based firewalls

·         Understanding of one or more object-oriented programming languages, such as Java or C++

·         Broad, applied experience with common computing platforms, legacy and modern development tools and languages, database management systems, and current open source infrastructure software solutions

·         Experience with relational databases and NoSQL

·         Experience designing systems and services for high availability

·         Experience with DevOps tools, processes, and culture

·         Experience with common virtualization technologies including Xen and KVM

·         Experience developing, running, and/or consuming cloud technologies including AWS, CloudStack, and OpenStack

·         Recent large-scale experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Salt, Chef, or equivalent

·         Strong background in systems performance

·         Superior organizational and communications skills
