SQL/SSIS Developer

The Client is looking for someone who has a strong understanding of SQL Server, plus experience developing in SSIS and XML. The work will initially focus on developing and updating schemas then will evolve into other project work related to SQL database and development, such as maintaining databases or writing scripts. The candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, with aggressive timelines.

Responsibilities

•           Refine business requirements into technical requirements and specifications

•           Design and develop SSIS packages, database objects, stored procedures and packages, views, tables 

•           Build ETL packages using SSIS for moving data

•           Performance tuning the stored procedures and T-SQL.

•           Communicate accurate and useful status updates

•           Manage and report time spent on all work activities

Qualifications

Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects, demonstrate initiative and work independently    with minimal supervision            

Strong written and verbal communication skills     

Ability to work in a team environment      

Experience with SQL Server 2008/2012

T-SQL & ANSI SQL

Developing packages with SSIS

Large-scale data migration experience

Server optimization, fine-tuning

SQL Reporting Services

Experience with XML

Data warehousing concepts

Strong understanding of Stored Procedures.

Strong analytical/mathematical and reasoning skills.

Strong knowledge of XML, schemas

Understanding of RDBMS and Data Warehouse designs

SQL Server database troubleshooting and query optimization

SQL Server Database Design SQL Server Stored Procedure Design and implementation
