Description:
The main focus is to obtain a resource to work independently using .NET applications using VB.Net, C#.Net with an Oracle 12c backend database. Candidate should be strong with PL/SQL Work will be focused on enhancement work. Exp w Agile like processes.
Note: In Person interviews Only. No Webcam Interviews, No Exceptions.
Technical test will be required for candidates who interview well with the team before an offer will be made.
ACES Applications Developer is a part of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) team that develops and supports an application utilized by all 50 states. This is a highly demanding, seasoned team responsible for a critical BLS application.

The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to work with the BA to get requirements for enhancements to an existing system. The ideal person will be able to review and analyze the existing code and identify how to satisfy the requirement and acceptance criteria as well as evaluating how to improve and optimized the existing code.
Will evaluate output and data to obtain expected results. Once thoroughly testing, work with a group of end users that are located off site and collaborate with the business users and the BA to verify correct results.
Understand the different environments and how to implement code and how to integrate into the different environments. Understand the dependencies and what other code or results could be impacted by code changes.
Be able to make improvements to sections of code independently. The BA may provide sample code from similar modules. The resource needs to recognize when to stop struggling and answer questions, but also be strong enough with the environment to not question resources to the point of counter-productivity.
