Job Role; Sr. Java Developer

Location: Chicago, IL
LOCAL ONLY (already w/in commuting distance)
Government
6 month contract
H1B, EAD, GC, US

This individual will be responsible for design, development, implementation, and unit/integration testing on the project.
MUST HAVE:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field
· 5+ years' experience as a Programmer/Analyst, Software Developer, or IT Consultant
· 5+ years' experience with RESTFUL Web Services and JBoss Application Server
· 3+ years' experience with the following:
o Java
o JavaScript
o Eclipse
o SQL
· Development experience using HTTP based web applications
- Recent experience interpreting UML and User Story based use cases to drive development
· Ability to translate business requirements into code in compliance with defined development standards including all code documentation
· Hands-on experience using Eclipse / Visual Studio or other integrated development environment platform
· Experience with performance tuning across both application and network tiers
· Ability to resolve defects, assess and triage issues, and escalate issues to management as appropriate
- Define and execute system tests
- Perform documentation and participate in code review sessions
- Maintain system documentation
- Develop and unit test web services
- Analyze periodic vendor released application upgrades, utilizing application server technologies, such as JBoss
