We've Urgent requirement with one of our client for Java/J2EE Developer Job opening Location Brooklyn, NY

 

Position Title: Java/J2EE Developer

Duration: 1 year

Location: Brooklyn, NY

 

Responsibilities:

Participate in development of systems design Communicating risks and issues to the Development Lead Develop presentation layer components Coding and designing application Using best practices for development

Perform unit testing and fixes during testing Phase Communicate risks and issues to the development lead and project management Use industry best practices and ensure implementation meets agency security and data integrity guidelines Assist Development Lead in developing technical documentation Help with production deployments.

 

Deliverables:

·         All documentation regarding system design

·         Detailed System Architecture Diagram

·         Data-flow Diagram

·         Class Diagrams

·         Activity and State Diagrams

·         Component Diagrams

·         Deployment Diagrams

·         Configurations

·         Build and unit tested modules for the system

·         Use cases and misuse cases for handoff to QA team

 

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

·         A minimum of 8 years' experience in Java/J2EE development building enterprise web portal applications

·         Experience in MVC and using other design patterns

·         Strong experience working with Oracle Web Center Suite or a similar Portal

·         Experience working with JSR-168 and JSR-286 portlets

·         Experience with relational database such as Oracle, MS SQL Server or MySQL

·         Experience with BEA WebLogic (9.x and 10.x) and JBoss EAP 5.x+

·         Strong experience with AJAX using JQuery or other frameworks

·         Knowledge of Spring and Hibernate

·         Experience with Ant

·         Experience with Web Services development

·         Experience with testing tools and techniques such as JUnit and continuous integration

·         Experience in HTML, Javascript and CSS

·         Knowledge of secure coding standards and best practices

·         Must be a team player

·         Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance

·         Must take initiative, and show confidence in decisions made

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE :

·         A Bachelors or Master's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is desired

·         Experience in any content management system (TeamSite preferred)

·         Good communication skills

·         Experience using standard project tools including Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
