Description:

Manage, Monitor, Administer, and Support multiple database systems. Oracle RAC on AIX is the primary database; DB2/400 on IBM i is secondary. Provide Infrastructure team support for database configuration, performance, clustering, etc. Provide non-business-hours database support as required.

Required Experience:

At least six years of experience working as an Oracle DBA. At least three years of experience working as a DBA in an Oracle RAC environment.

Oracle database installation, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, patching and upgrading, monitoring, and management.

Oracle database clustering (RAC) installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting

Oracle database security, account provisioning, and user administration

Change management disciplines, best practices, products, implementation and support

Database auditing, file sizing, file partitioning, indexing, scripting, load balancing, connection pooling, compression, replication, and relational modeling

Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and communications technologies

Business recovery planning, documentation, and test execution in an Oracle RAC environment

Communications skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.

Working in a Dual DMZ network environment a plus

Experience working in an IBM AIX environment a plus

Experience with any version of IBM DB2 a plus
