Core Java Developer

Rochester, NY

9 months contract

 

Our client, located in Rochester, NY is looking to add a Java Developer to their team for an IMMEDIATE opening. To be qualified, candidates must have:

1.     5+ years of Core Java skills. Candidates need to be able to develop code from scratch, understand libraries, Java collections, develop Plain Old Java Objects, and threading/multi-threading.

2.     5+ years of Database experience in order to develop complex SQL queries and strong Oracle database background, strong understanding of how a database works, and make changes as it grows.

3.     Web Applications (development of web Applications using Tools such as JavaScript, Restful, Tomcat, Spring) Nice To have: Unit testing with JUnit.

 

This is a for a project in Rochester, NY. The client uses Agile methodology, candidates are expected to hit the ground running and be able to work independently but in a team environment. Bringing new ideas to the team is encouraged. Management doesn't micromanage, they expect the work To be completed. It's a casual environment, very little politics within the group and they have a mutual respect for each other.
