Start Date:Immediate

Role & Responsibility:Provide Database Administration support for very large databases in a Teradata environment. The ideal candidate will have a very well rounded understanding of the complete Teradata environment

Job will include the following types of tasks

1. Design, creation, and maintenance of database objects

2. Physical database design

3. Development of proactive processes for monitoring capacity and performance

4. Perform system level and application level tuning

5. Support application teams related to database application development

6. Knowledgeble in UNIX shell scripting

7. Adhere to Organization's standards & best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

·Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline recommended

·Excellent communication, organizational, and personal skills

·Works well in a team environment

·Database performance tuning knowledge and skills

Preferred Certifications:

·Teradata Advanced Certified Professional

·Teradata Certified Administrator (Masters)
