Job Title: Clearcase Administrator

Duration: 12 Months + extendable

Location: Irving, TX

 

Job Description:
Clearcase Administrator
• Clearcase administration, builds, VOB maintenance in Windows, Solaris and Linux.
• Scripting languages: one or more of PERL, C-Shell, KORN-Shell.
• Accountable for e2e support, maintenance, installation, upgrades of Clearcase and System administration of servers on Solaris, Linux, Windows.
• Installs, upgrades, enhances, and fixes Clearcase, OS without direct supervision.
• Informs Systems Support, Application Development and Operations staff of Clearcase, OS compatibility and features.
• Provides the Systems and Development staff with technical expertise, tools, utilities and programs assisting in the efficient development and operation of application systems.
• Analyzes, plans and implements complex technical software and standards as necessary.
• Provides direction and mentoring to other Administrators and related positions.
• Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of computer technology, including hardware, software and data communication.
• Provides detailed technical evaluations and recommendation regarding new and innovative techniques/standards.
• Working model – Deliverables must meet satisfy Verizon manager's technical and service requirements. No WFH, unless person has emergencies and approval from Verizon manager.

Clearcase Skills:
ClearCase Administration.
• 6+ years Clearcase Administration / System administration experience
• VOB backup and restore.
• VOB DB troubleshoots.
• View backup, restore, recover and troubleshooting.
• ClearCase ACL (Access Control List)
• General trigger
• ClearCase client and User administration and troubleshooting.
