Job Title: Senior Ruby On Rails Developer

Duration: 8 Months + extendable

Location: Irving, TX

 

Job Description:
- Analyze business & technical requirements, design, and implement solutions using Ruby on Rails.
- Implement solutions that conform to the design and adhere to programming standards and conventions, database standards, and security requirements.
- Experienced in all stages of the software development life-cycle.
- Develop solutions using HTML, AJAX, REST, JSON, and SOAP
- Tests, debugs, and refines the coding solution throughout the development life cycle to produce the required, defect free, final product.
- Conducts full unit testing of all code produced and provides support to internal (Stage One) testing as required.
- Follows established source control and configuration management practices and tools for managing source code and technical documentation.
- Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation, to enable easy transition of services.
- Stays current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies related to programming.

Skills
- 10 or more years industry experience.
- 5 years minimum experience with Ruby on Rails framework
- Solid experience with Javascript, and JS libraries like JQuery, DOJO
- 7 years minimum JAVA/J2EE or related programming language.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite expertise in documenting test cases and use cases.
- Experience with Health Information Architecture (HIA) based programs highly preferred.
- HL7, CCR, CDA, Object Orientation, Javascript, HTML, XML, SQL, JBOSS, Apache

Preferred Additional Skills:
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Experience in all phases of systems development lifecycle.
