Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of multiple factors. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing tasks and achieving objectives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to internal customers.

• Structured Cable plant and design
• TCP/IP
• DNS/DHCP
• Load Balancing (F5 and Cisco)
• Application based Firewalls (F5)
Understanding of network security concepts
• Authentication
• Encryption
• DMZ
• VPN
Familiarity with enterprise server and storage technologies
• Windows
• Unix
• VMware
• SAN
Ability to discern basic IP information (source, destination, port) in a packet capture in order to map out existing and future application flow. Familiarity with financial concepts. Ability to effectively work with project management teams around estimation, planning, and resource management. Can explain, both written and verbally, technical ideas to non-technical people through MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
