Job Title: System Analyst
Location: Austin, TX
Job Type: Contract – 6 Months
Responsibilities:
- Work with stakeholders in defining solutions to business problems or change requests
- Analyze the Request For Changes (RFC) and work with stakeholders in scope definition
- Create and maintain requirements documentation
- Involved in development, systems testing and reporting activities
- Effectively communicate to developers and testers the scope, purpose, requirements and solution
- Provide support to operations, training help with data analysis and solutions to the issues that arise in production
- Prepare system documentation, such as functional specifications, release notes
- Perform project management duties for agile projects, such as status reports and team meetings
- Use industry standards and best practices approved by the project management
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science
- SQL
- Web-related technology
- Messaging technology
- Meeting and work group management
- A minimum of 2+ years of analysis and design experience
- Strong documentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
- Strong knowledge in using MS Office tools
- Ability to express complex functional concepts and solutions effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to comprehend the technical concepts involving web-related technologies, middleware and messaging technologies
- Possess knowledge of design patterns and practices
- Perform data analysis on large volumes of raw and structured data
- Solid knowledge of RDBMS and Oracle preferred
