1)      below is the BOBJ JD , this is the position in NewYork
 
  • Generate and organize report specification documentation including report details and training materials
  • Create and unit test reports for new and existing BI systems this includes the implementation of any ad-hoc reporting tool solutions
  • Responsible for validating, to a reasonable level, the accuracy of data represented in developed reports before they are released for use. This includes checking the data for 'reasonableness', validating to existing production reports where possible, and working with the business requestor to ensure proper selection criteria has been applied
  • Responsible for understanding, in collaboration with business representatives, how different data elements are used by the business in production systems, and how those data elements then should be reflected in reports. Along with the ability to translate raw data and information sources into practical, usable reports and other vehicles that support decision-making.
  • Monitor and administer all BI systems
  • Define and refine overall BI strategy, road map and architecture
  • Work with vendors and internal team members to assure adherence to MLB development/process standards and to assist with issue resolution, testing, and customer care in the BI area
  • Set BI training plans and lead training efforts for end users
  • Provide functional support for BI systems as needed, contribute to discussions regarding product roadmaps, work with IT staff and end-users to troubleshoot BI system issues
  • Participate in the management of projects by assisting in establishing and following project timelines as well as ensuing that all project deliverables and milestones are completed on time in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision effectively in a highly complex, entrepreneurial and (often) high-pressure environment.
  • May lead and direct the work of others
  • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by manager.
5 to 7+ years of experience in the IT field
  • 4+ years of experience with the SAP Business Objects suite of tools
  • At least 4 years of experience with technical support and administration of BI systems
  • 4+ years of expertise working with the SAP Business Objects administration modules
  • 4+ years of experience with data warehouse environments
  • 4+ years of experience with relational databases and data modeling on the following or equivalent platforms: DB2 Windows, ISeries, SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza...etc.
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL queries and query performance tuning
  • A track record of success supporting users across a variety of applications and technologies
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline is required; a Master's degree (or equivalent) is a plus.
 Must poses a combination of excellent communication skills and deep technology skills in the SAP Business Objects BI solution set
  • Expertise with the following SAP Business Objects Software tools required (version 3.X): Webi, Explorer, Universe Designer and CMS
  • Has knowledge of commonly used BI concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Has knowledge of commonly used quality assurance concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Has adeptness to follow established guidelines
  • Understands the principles of, and has competency in scope management.  Can work with end users to align objectives and execution accordingly

2 ) Provide hands on effort in the analysis, design, development, documenting, testing,  deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of reporting and analytical solutions.  Develops reports, queries, and dashboards based on data stored in SAP ECC and CRM and pulled into SAP BW, and SAP HANA, databases. 
·         Supports the business requirements gathering and the development of functional specifications in partnership with business users and BI Customer Engagement team.
·         Develop data dictionaries and high level design documents of reports, universes, and dashboards to facilitate the training of and adoption by the business users.
·         Translates functional specifications into BW technical designs and validates development meets the users' needs and expectations.
·         Work with the broader BI team identify BW process, data model, and technical design improvements to advance BI reporting and usage across business functions
Job Level Specific Duties 
o   Works on a large portfolio of applications.
o   Provides application design and documentation that spans multiple applications and/or functions.
o   Participates, and may lead, on complex projects with significant impact on IT and / or business.
o   Mentors less experienced team members.
o   Prioritizes own work regarding the development, coding, testing, and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software.
o   Works with technical staff and business to understand problems with software and assist to resolve them.

o   Typically requires 5-7 years relevant experience.

·         Need Architecture background who can assist with systems architectural direction in the overall design installations & upgrades.
·         Experience with BO EIM products (Data Services/Data Integrator, Metadata Manager and Information Steward).
·         Hardware sizing a BOBJ deployment version 4.0 & above.
·         Installation & configuration of core BOBJ Enterprise product suite; data Services, information steward.
·         Strong familiarity with Central Management Console & Lifecycle Management.
·         Enterprise and custom (LDAP, SSO) security configuration.
·         Perform SAP Data management activities including data assessment, cleansing, outlining strategy & approach, process and policy the data migration plan.
·         Manage data related risks and issues for the extraction and load program.
·         Design Data Cleansing and De-Duping Strategy to be implemented using SAP Business Objects Data Services.
·         Ensure development and packaging of ETL routines, error handling, restart/recovery procedures, and performance tuning based on best practices.
·         Ideally should have experience doing extracts from both Non-SAP and SAP source systems
·         BODS Change management and Production rollout experience
·         Experience with DQ (Cleansing/Profiling etc.), Information Stewards
·         Skills in SAP MDG, MDM 7.1, ABAP Data Dictionary, BRF+, Workflow and Web Dynpr.
