Role : Data Scientist with R Programming Exp

No of positions : 2

Length: 2-3months +

H1's are OK BUT candidates MUST have strong Comm skills. Client will hire off the phone.

My client will hire off the phone and is looking to hire this week

Ø  Less experienced R programmers, rate will need to be lower.

Location: Washington DC

Non locals are okay

 

 

About the project:

My client is adding a new feature to their member platform fitting a data module to each data set and then evaluating it for each customer. The IDEAL candidate will be utilizing existing technology sand tailoring it to each member to ensure all data is correct.

 

This person will help us fit predictive models to a new feature we are rolling out  

 

Responsibilities:

·         Skill level/experience: entry to mid-level data scientist, with an emphasis on the stats knowledge, with a little, but well-defined, coding (configuring small R snippets with the features selected based on assessing institutional data). Other major activity is assessing the results of the fit (looking at accuracy measures, iterating to find improvements based on feature selection).

·         Working with our data science team on model fitting

·         Must know R PROGRAMMING

·         Experience with R should be focused on reproducible processes at scale (rather than individualized, desktop research)

·         We aren't asking for a certain educational background but many of the candidates we are seeing have masters in a statistical field and some data science background
