Job Title : Embedded / Firmware Engineer
Location : Mayfield Heights, OH
Duration : Long Term
Executive Summary:
Client is looking resources to augment their embedded software team.
Daily job duties examples:
· Engineering test development (e.g., unit tests)
· Resolution of static code analysis findings
· Resolution of anomalous product behavior (e.g., bug fixes)
Job Skill Requirements:
1. a. Minimum of 5 years of experience in real-time embedded software programming in C/C++ and debugging with emulator, preferably experience with Wind River Workbench and VxWorks real-time operating system.
b. Knowledge of object-oriented analysis, design, and programming techniques.
2. One or more of the following skills are desired:
a. Experience in developing and debugging embedded software for multicore processors or knowledge of ARM processor architecture.
b. Experience in writing unit tests, preferably with CPPUnit.
c. Experience writing device drivers, preferably for Wind River VxWorks.
d. Experience in agile development methodology.
3. BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with concentration in software; or equivalent knowledge in the areas of embedded real-time software engineering (requirements analysis, design, testing), data structures, algorithms, and C/C++ language.
4. Position requires working in a team environment, interfacing with hardware engineering, embedded software engineering, and project management as necessary.
5. Position requires successful candidate to work in the Mayfield Heights, OH, USA facility.
