Position: DevOps Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA
Duration: 6+ months
Interview Process: Phone + F2F
They need only locals and 7-9 years will do .
LOCALS TO CA ONLY
Responsibilities:
* Thorough understand of TCP/IP and its related protocols
* Manage services running on Linux (Apache, Tomcat, etc...)
* Rapid Deployment Systems (PXE, kickstart, etc)
* Virtualization (Docker, VMware, VirtualBox, etc.)
* Install hardware and software, conducts systems upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software and security related problems
* Work closely with other engineers in creating, maintaining and improving the source code (git), build and software infrastructure. Work closely with our engineering groups to help define and maintain release standards
* Work closely with engineers and QA to ensure that software release candidates make their way through the various pre-production environments.
* Work closely with QA, triggering and reporting automated testing and Operations to move software out of development and into staging
* Deploy code in production and monitor and support the installation
* Implement, advocate, and enforce build and release standards and conventions.
Requirements:
* 5+ years production experience operating a LAMP stack
* scripting skills a plus
* Familiarity with x86 / x64 hardware
* Knowledge of software development life cycle, software configuration management practices, release management methodologies, production support.
* Proficiency with at least one continuous integration system, preferably Jenkins.
* Expert with at least one source code control system, preferably GIT.
* Working knowledge and experience using Perl or Bash
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and oral.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Extensive knowledge of MySQL
