Department:  Business Support Advisor II Job
Title: Business Support Advisor II
Duties: This position will be known as a "Business System Owner" for the technology systems used by the Energy Efficiency, Demand Response, and Renewable Energy teams at Consumers Energy.  This position will not be responsible for the fixing of technology related items but will help coordinate the fixes, test any technology changes, and report the status of changes.  Responsibilities include:


Single point of contact for Customer Program Management and IT System Owner Acquainted with IT architecture design that supports the Smart Energy (SE) Customer Programs Submits incident tickets (Service Now) and partners with IT System Owner to shepherd the process from problem identification through resolution.
Collaborates with IT System Owner to triage root cause.
Works with IT System Owner to resolve and prioritize incident tickets Develops and executes user acceptance test case plans/scenarios.
 Seeks Program Management approval of final testing documentation Approves IT test plans and implementation Supports program reporting requests Provides SME and Testing (UAT) support for Company IT project/enhancement requests and logs test results in HP ALM for future re-use (for example ESB upgrade, HRSP-SAP® upgrade, CRM, etc.)
Submit new/enhancement tickets (Service Now).
 Partners with IT System Owner on new requirements and solution design.
 Documents business requirements with final approval from Program Management.
Coordinates and reports daily health check, and potentially “energy savings day†event health check.
Maintains and orchestrates test environments and data with 3rd party vendors.
Owner of service level agreement and reports results to Business Owner, Smart Energy Efficiency Solutions (SEES).
Support and participate in the “Energy Savings Event†calls.

Other

Skills: The following skills are mandatory:

Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Experience with system testing methodologies Excellent communicator - written and oral Self starter Effective with time management Able to adhere to project plans and timelines Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people Process Oriented


The following skills are highly recommended:

SAP Back Office/CRM7 for utilities
HP ALM
Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus and other data transfer mechanisms Knowledge of basic project management Understanding of utility industry

Keywords:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in IT or business related field.  Will consider relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
