We have an open Oracle PL/SQL developer position for our direct client in Secaucus NJ for a 6+ month contract (possibility of extension ). The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Skills/Requirements
Must have retail, manufacturing, wholesale or pharmaceutical background/experience
Must have at least 3 years of production support/application support experience
Must have a minimum of 5 years̢۪ experience in PL/SQL (stored procedures), STRONG SQL Queries experience.
Must have a minimum of 5 years̢۪ experience in Oracle or DB2 (Stored Procedures) or SQL.
Must have hands on experience or good understanding of UNIX, Shell, ETL Scripting
Current hand-on programming experience required; current technology environment includes PL/SQL, SQL, ETL, Unix scripting, etc.
Proven experience performing business and systems analysis in a variety of application development environments
Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, unit test, system test, deployment, and production support
Experience in software development, web applications, client/server technology, distributed applications, and other custom built applications
Good communications skills, appropriate for a broad range including business stakeholders, 3rd party vendors, offshore providers, and technical.
Good production support / application support experience
supporting vendor supported applications like Lawson, vertex, Hyperion, etc or any or home grown applications.
Experience in ticket handling systems like ServiceNow, Remedy, TrackIT, etc.
Working on new enhancements, writing new scripts, etc to support or enhance the current environment
Working with various vendors to create ticket with them to resolve third party application issues.
