Java Developer Job Description:
Our client is looking for two Java Developers to join their Development team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a team to develop leading edge web applications. The ideal candidate will be a Mid Level Developer with significant experience in web application technologies with a strong sense of leadership and constantly strives for perfection.
Top Skills (stack ranked):
1. 5 Years experience in design, development AND coding in Java
2. Strong skills in designing in Spring
3. Work on web front end projects - build websites in Java technology
Project Skills:
- 5+ years in a development environment – Java, .Net or both
- Successful design, development and delivery to a production environment of an enterprise-class software system
- Deep understanding of current trends in Web technology, including such concepts as web services, social media, mobile applications
- Strong knowledge of OO, design patterns and techniques
- Strong understanding of application frameworks, libraries, modules and open source software, and the ability to put them all together to form solutions.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript libraries such as: jQuery, Prototype, Dojo
- Strong knowledge and use XML, XQuery
- Understanding of the different steps in SDLC
- Understanding of different operating systems, including Windows & Linux distributions
- Application servers such as: IIS, Tomcat, Apache HTTP…etc
- Strong understanding of UX technologies such as: CSS, Ajax,
- Application frameworks such as: (N) Hibernate, Tapestry, Spring, JSF, JEE, SharePoint
- RDMS databases such as: Oracle,
- IDEs such as: Eclipse, MS Visual Studio…etc.
- Search Engines: Lucene, Mark Logic, FAST
