{Job Junction} Urgent Requirement :: Sr. PL/SQL Developer - Seattle, WA - Phone Interview - Immediate position

I am having following requirement with one of our client. Please send me matching profiles along with expected hourly rate and contact information

 

Sr. PL/SQL Developer    

Duration:  3-6 Months

Location:  Seattle, WA

 

        Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience.

        Three or more years of experience as a Senior PL/SQL Developer designing, developing, debugging, and tuning Oracle database applications.

        Must understand scoping rules for packages, procedures, and functions.

        Must understand role based security as well as definer rights vs invoker rights

        Experience working with Oracle Standard Edition environment

        Must understand pipeline functions, global temporary tables, ref cursors, user defined types, and schema object dependency.

        Must have experience with one or more PL/SQL development tools such as SQL*Developer or Toad and must be able to function from the command line/Sqlplus prompt.

        Excellent knowledge of Oracle SQL, including design, development, debugging and tuning skills.

        Must have a solid understanding of discrete and autonomous transactions.

        Must have a solid understanding of Oracle Analytics.

        Must have a solid understanding of interaction between SQL scripts, OS shell scripts in both windows and UNIX.

        Must have a solid understanding of the different Oracle table and index structures.

        OLTP experience and database application design, development, debugging, and tuning.

        Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

        Good UNIX/Linux and PC skills required, including use of:

o   one or more UNIX/Linux shell scripting languages (sh, ksh, csh, bash, etc.)

o   ssh, scp, sftp, tar, sed, grep, awk, perl, vi, emacs, cron, at

o   Subversion (SVN) and interfaces to it through either the command line or tools such as Jenkins, Tortise SVN, or Eclipse

o   MS Office applications.

         Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

         Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

         Good understanding of configuration management, change management, and version control

 

Additional Desirable Skills

        Oracle Database Administration Oracle 10g/11g

        Quest Shareplex replication of Oracle tables in a standalone and/or RAC environment

        Knowledge of XML and HTML

        Experience with XML DB

        Knowledge of OLTP environments

        Experience with Oracle RAC, replication, streams environments

        Experience with other database engines such as Postgres, MySql, Sybase, Informix, SqlServer, DB2, etc.
